Abhishek Bachchan is swapping acting for football. And the club he plans to join is Chelsea FC, and obvious choice considering he has been its fan for a long time. In fact, Bachchan was recently seen at Stamford Bridge in the UK , with Aishwarya Rai in tow, where the club was playing against Charlton and Liverpool . However it's all for a movie, ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' co-starring Preity Zinta.
The film will show Abhishek as a die-hard Chelsea fan, while he is in real life too. Chelsea 's business affair director Paul Smith is excited about ‘ India 's biggest actors” endorsing the club.
“Abhishek came to Stamford Bridge accompanied by his girlfriend Aishwarya Rai to see us beat Liverpool , so that he could absorb the passion that is a part of being a Chelsea supporter. It helped that he is a club fan in real life too,” says Smith. As per reports, the club has given Abhishek a jersey, with his character's name Rikki written on it. So great, no!
