I'd definitely want to play a character of the past, Rani

When remaking old classics is the new order of the film industry, industry's one of the top heroines, Rani Mukherji revealed her strong reservation about doing remake.
“I'd definitely want to play a character of the past, but I'd not like to be a part of a ‘remake' probably,” told Rani in a recent interview. Because she feels that the magic our seniors and directors have created cannot be recreated.
”It can be redone in a new way and it's great that people are doing it but I personally would feel insecure playing a part, which has already been done and the magic already been created,” said Rani.
“I'd like to do films, which will become landmarks in history today; for people to see and say in future ‘Oh my God, remember that film',” Rani said with her eyes fixed at far.
Rani's forthcoming film is ‘Baabul', where she plays the centre role with Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham and Salman Khan.
