will have a ‘premiere’ on March 19. This is the first of sorts in B-Town. And the bigger surprise is that leading man Harman will not attend the event at PVR, Juhu! Priyanka Chopra, however, will be present.
Slow unwrapping
Says a source, “Harman’s very excited about his acting debut and is making sure that no promotional avenue is spared to make Love Story one of the best marketed films of 2008. He doesn’t want to attend the promotional event because he wants ‘to tease’ the audiences. He wants to play up the curiosity factor and be ‘unwrapped’ slowly.”
The teasers will be released in theatres along with Race this coming Friday.
Wait for it
Harman is driving the publicity and promotions of his debut film and has a definite plan on how to cash in on the hype.
Says an insider, “Priyanka too hasn’t seen the promos and has been requesting Harman to send her a DVD. He is however very insistent that she see it on the big screen along with the media and the rest of the cast and crew on March 19.”
This futuristic film, directed by Harry Baweja, releases this July and is one of the most expensive films ever made in B-Town.
Harman, who is presently shooting for Victory, and looking leaner than before, says, “Yes, we are having a promo premiere on March 19. There, we will have the first look at Love Story — 2050. We had initially designed a different design for the invite. It was shaped like a futuristic clock but looked too gimmicky.
We finally selected this one.”
