Neha Dhupia to do an item number again
Neha Dhupia is busy doing item numbers these days. After her item song and brief appearance in Garam Masala, Neha Dhupia will now be doing an item number in Jimmy And Johny, starring Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu and Kim Sharma. This is the same film which was earlier titled Nehle Pe Dehle. The film was delayed from many years and is finally about to see the light of day.The item number has been added to give the promos a fresh look as the film had been shot long time back. After this move, the producer, Mahendra Dhariwal will hope to release the movie as it is stuck since the past four years. The film is being directed by Ajay Chandok who is an ex-assistant to David Dhawan. Let’s see if the Neha Dhupia magic can help the release and the box office verdict of the film.

What's this Hollywood commercial that you've done?
I haven't shot for it yet. I don't know who's spreading this misinformation. Talks are on with the producers. I've only promoted Police watches in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. We're planning promotions in Mumbai as well.
What have you been busy with?
I've just completed Ek Chalis Ki Last Local with Abhay Deol .. and Mithiya with Naseeruddin Shah and Ranvir Shorey. After Shootout and Delhi Heights I will start on Dus Kahaniyan.
How do you look back on Priyadarshan's Chup Chup Ke?
With satisfaction. I'm remembered for my salwar-suit-bindi look in the film. Of the 13 characters, Rajpal Yadav got the most attention.
Why have you been avoiding any comments on your film Utthan?
Utthan? I'd prefer to stay tight-lipped on it for reasons best known to me.
You once said that you don't want to do any more love making scenes. Do you mean that?
Of course, I do.
Then, how come you're doing nude and love making scenes in Hot opposite Parvin Dabas?
What rubbish! I'm not doing any such film. Who told this? You must have got this from the internet. I've done such scenes in the past, I've learnt from my mistakes. Today I'm into glamorous roles but not skin flicks.
Which are the most difficult steamy scenes you've shot?
Julie was tough. I did such scenes in Sheesha too.. but Julie was tougher. I was doing them for the first time. I cringe when I think of those scenes.. I won't do them any more. But it's a perforamnce I'm proud of.
You've also had problems with your secretary Bhola Malviya.
I never held back his money. He was making false claims. None of what he said was correct. I wouldn't have become rich overnight by holding back his money. Fortunately my current secretary, Goldie, is not like him at all.
Are you going back to the south movies?
I did my first movie Ninney Ishta Paddaanu in Telegu. I want to go back to the south sometime. When, I don't know.
What if you hadn't won the Miss India title four years ago?
Before the Miss India contest, I was studying for my IAS exams. I was also thinking of joining journalism. If I hadn't won the title, who knows, I could have been a bureaucrat in some government department.
What's the update on your good friend Ritwik Bhattacharya?
He's my friend of 11 years. He's India's most famous squash player. There's nothing cooking between us.
And Amrish Kumar?
He's fashion designer Ritu Kumar's son. He's also my friend from my Delhi days. We know each other quite well. But we're not seeing each other. In fact, there's no man in my life.Honestly if there was someone I'd be the first to talk about him. I would never hide my relationship. I've been open about everything I've done.
Would you marry someone from the film industry?
No, never. I 'd rather stay single than marry someone from this line of work. Not that I've anything against filmi men but I don't see myself finding a life partner here. I've never been attracted to any of my co-stars. Mixing work and pleasure is a strict no-no for me.
On a secluded island, whom would you like for company?

Neha Dhupia will be the star attraction and Radio Tarana's Bollywood celebrity at this year’s Asia: NZ Diwali Festival of Lights in Auckland this weekend.Neha Dhupia is also the glamorous new face of the Police International label who signed her to spearhead their campaign in the Indian consumer market. She will appear at the 2006 Diwali Festival of Lights at Britomart on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15. The festival is organized by the Asia New Zealand Foundation and Auckland City Council.
Ms Dhupia’s participation in the Diwali Festival of Lights has been made possible by Auckland’s leading Indian community station, Radio Tarana, who is a sponsor for the event.

Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia has just finished doing a high-profile American television commercial for a new line of luxury skincare products.The commercial was shot over several days in Beverly Hills and features the glamorous Neha, with the glitzy Hollywood as the backdrop. However, the name of the product is still under the wraps.
The commercial was directed by Tim Mewton, who is known as one of the most innovative and creative directors in television.
"This is the best example yet of the huge crossover movement taking place between Hollywood and Bollywood," Mewton said in a press statement.
Apart from the commercial, recently Neha became the brand ambassador for Police - the international eyewear and watch company. Speaking about her association with the brand, Neha said: "Police and I have a lot in common. We both are young, hip and upcoming."
Dhupia now joins the famous list of brand ambassadors for Police including Bruce Willis, George Clooney and David Beckham.

Neha Dhupia's happening now
Neha Dhupia hasn't exactly had the best of things happening to her in life. After some good films, she ended up doing successful albeit skin flicks like Julie and Sheesha.But now she has many movies coming up. "I am glad that I will have somany films coming up back to back. There has been a lull for a while. All these films are really interesting. 'Mitya' with Naseer saab is one of the best films I have ever worked in. People will remember this film. I have been a huge fan of Naseer saab and this film in a way fulfilled my dreams of working with him," says Neha who plays a gangster's moll in the movie.
Neha is also looking out for an important film from the stable of Sivaji Ganesan's film production company which had earlier produced the super duper Tamil hit Chandramukhi. Neha has Jimmy Shergill paired opposite her in the film and feels that it is a turning point in her career.
"Delhi Heights is about a bunch of families living in the same locality. There are different people and they have different storiesto tell. It could be a story of any of us. It's got that real touch. That will set the film apart," she says. Barring all her skin flicks etc, Neha is also looking to balance her films with some respectability. That has now come in the form of an Abhay Deol comedy called Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, "Ek Chalis Ki Last Local has turned out really well. I am hoping that it works, because it is a small budget film with a nice story. We have had a tough time shooting it as we had to shoot in several places in Mumbai city, we had to shoot it in trains as well. So it was a difficult but great shoot," says Dhupia.
