It is that amorous time of the year again where expressing your love is a compulsion. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we bring you Bollywood's hottest couples who haven't tied the knot as yet.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan: They are Bollywood royalty. She is a Kapoor and his father is the Nawab of Pataudi. She is a flawless beauty and he is drop-dead-hot and handsome. Together they make a madly-in-love couple with crackling chemistry. It was on the sets of the disastrous Tashan that their romance blossomed. Kareena looked so gorgeous in the movie that Saif couldn't help but be drawn to her. They have eyes only for each other and aren't afraid of showing how much they adore one another. You want to fall in love just looking at them. Saif wants to tie the knot now but Bebo's saying 'not now'.

Bipasha Basu and John Abraham: Dating for over five years now, this sizzling twosome has stood the test of time. Romance blossomed on the sets of Aetbaar and the two set the screen on fire with their unrestrained passion in Jism. The good looking fitness freaks complement each other really well. She is a smokin' hot Bong tigress and he is a Bawa boy with the body of a Greek God. They are a mature couple who have left their PDA days behind and are too secure about each other to be affected by malicious rumours.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone: Ah, young love. She is a leggy supermodel-turned-actress with enchanting doe eyes. He is Bollywood’s Prince Charming who could sweep any girl off her feet. It was a double whammy for them at the Filmfare Awards in 2008. Not only did they win best debut awards, they also secured each other's affection. The two bonded in picturesque Australia while shooting for Bachna Ae Haseeno. The photogenic twosome is so much in love that they cannot keep their hands off each other, even in public.

Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra: These two, who will feature together in Kaminay, are rumoured to be going out. And they have adorable nicknames for each other: Peefee and Shaks. They share a hot kiss in the film so it’s no wonder a hot romance started off-screen too. Priyanka was having a hard time with Harman and Shahid wasn't really dating anyone after his breakup with Kareena. They stay in the same building and spent a lot of time bonding on and off the sets. The two are fiercely private people so the relationship is still under wraps. But their chemistry in Kaminay will surely tell us all that we need to know.

Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia: She is vivaciously beautiful and he is dashingly debonair. Preity has gone from bubbly to sophisticate ever since she started attending upscale society dos with her good looking boyfriend. They mix business with pleasure as they own a cricket team together and Ness accompanies Preity on her shoots. They aren't into PDA but their sweet gestures such as feeding each other during matches show that they have eyes only for each other.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif: He is over 40, she is over 20 and they are madly in love with each other, though they may not show it. She is a beautiful in-demand newbie in Bollywood while he is the handsome established superstar. Being Salman Khan's girlfriend is not easy, but the composed and dignified lady Kat is, she has managed to play that role with aplomb. Apparently, his family loves Kat too and Salman hasn't been so smitten by anyone before. He wants to settle down but she is in no hurry to with her burgeoning career. Will they or won't they? Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia made a pretty picture at the recently-concluded IPL match at Mohali.

All eyes were fixed on the doting couple who walked in with their hands clasped together. Not once did the couple vanish inside the cosy confines of the dressing rooms.

Dressed in their team uniforms, Preity and Ness were seen cheering their boys and jumping with joy at their team’s first win.

Ness occasionally got sandwiches and snacks for his Preity lady, and the couple even fed each other. Preity also lovingly wiped off a drop of ketchup that had fallen on her beau’s tee.

A close friend says, “They’re such a loving couple! What’s admirable is that they’re always themselves even if the world is looking at them.”

Cricket first, shaadi later

Business, glamour and cricket – a merger doesn’t get headier than this.

Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia and the stars of their Mohali IPL team are aware of this edge they enjoy. So as Preity and Ness go about deciding the promotions and logistics of their Kings XI Punjab, they are sure of one thing – they need no star presence.

Uh, but don’t they already have enough in form of Preity? “I may be the glam quotient but we have enough players who are brands in themselves and need no endorsements. With players like Yuvi, Sree, Irfan and Brett, my work becomes simpler,” Preity says.

So, they need no ambassador for their team, a la Akshay Kumar for Delhi Daredevils? “Like I said, my boys don’t need a brand endorsement. This game is not about which Bollywood celebrity is backing which team. I am here because of the passion for sports,” is Preity’s answer.

Over to her much quieter beau, Ness. “Isn’t she something?” Ness says about his girl and takes over from where she left, “This is not just about glamour or fun. The whole series is going to be serious cricket as well. And honestly, I think the T20 format is great. For someone like me who checks scores only in the 9 pm news because I am busy throughout the day, 20-20 is just the format to watch.”

And how have they shared the work? “I am taking care of the creatives in the team. Starting from the uniforms to the anthem and the promotions, I have put my head in everything. I am happy the way everything is taking shape and Ness has been so supportive,” says Preity. Ness adds, “She is the spirit of the team.” And amidst all this, does marriage strike a chord? “Whenever that happens, we shall let you know, but right now the focus is on cricket,” is the unanimous response.

Preity, Ness want hip-hop balle balle

Like Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia too are leaving no stone unturned to promote their IPL cricket teams. While SRK has already completed and launched his first music video in Kolkata and Mumbai, Preity has just completed shooting her IPL music video for her Mohali team.

Winding up early

Says a source, “Preity Zinta was to shoot at a studio in Saki Naka and initially had trouble completing her music video. They were shooting last Friday but had to wind up early as Salman Khan, Dara Singh, and some cricketers who were to be part of the video didn’t turn up. Sajid-Wajid will compose the music and had their first sitting at Ness Wadia’s home. Preity has opened her own production company called P Zinta Film World and is doing the shooting through her own company.”

When we checked with Preity, who is currently travelling, she e-mailed us back saying, “The actor and cricketer part is untrue. We did shoot for a video. Everything else reported is a rumour. There were no problems whatsoever. The video was made under my company P. Zinta Film World. All details of the video will be announced at a press conference and we would not like to discuss it now.”

It’s rocking!

Music director Sajid (of the Sajid-Wajid duo) says, “We have composed the music for Preity’s IPL music video. In fact, Wajid and I have acted for the first time in the video. We recently finished shooting for it. It’s a crazy, exciting video directed by ad filmmaker Ram Madhvani.

After our hits, Partner and Welcome, this music video will be the next hottest thing. It’s very Punjabi, is sung by Daler Mehndi and has rocking dance numbers with unbelievable bhangra. There are other people in the video.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Mallya have also made music videos for their Kolkata and Bangalore IPL teams. Vishal-Shekhar have composed the music for SRK’s music video.

Dance with the Deols

The buzz is that Preity is in talks with Bobby and Sunny Deol for her music video. A source adds, “She is very keen on getting Sunny and Bobby for the song. She’s best friends with Bobby and he’s trying to work out dates he can commit to her.”

If all goes well, Preity will not only have the brothers but also Dharam paaji in the video. “She wants to capture the essence of the Deol family. Preity has been chasing Bobby and he is very keen to appearing in the video too.”

Ness & I are fine: Preity Zinta

The break up rumours about Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia got a huge set back when the duo won the franchisee right for the Indian Premier League team from Mohali in Punjab for $76 million.

The perky actress is currently concentrating on changing her image in bollywood, she has now moved to doing more serious roles as she has reached a different stage in her career.

However there have been rumours that Preity has lately been very busy with work and hence she hardly has time for boyfriend Ness Wadia.

Some sources had claimed that the couple, who has been together for three years, had a spat on the sets of Zinta’s new film Heaven On Earth when she was shooting in Toronto. But Preity claims "Ness and I are together, thank you very much. We are happy. There are no problems between us"

“I don’t know where these stories originate from. A few months ago, it was said that Ness and I were getting married and now it’s being said that he and I have split.” She sarcastically adds.

Preity is making a conscious decision to move away from her glamorous roles right now. She is currently doing a strong role in Deepa Mehta's film where she plays a battered Punjabi wife.
